ASTRA SCREEN​

The centerpiece of the collection, the Astra Screen, is more than mere decoration; it is a keeper of tales, a whisperer of ancient lore. One side features a geometric tapestry of the Chaupad game, depicting the fateful moment in the Mahabharata when the Pandavas lost their kingdom. Intricate patterns symbolize the dice and game board, representing the fragility of fate and the consequences of choices made.
On the reverse side, a dynamic scene of Krishna guiding Arjuna’s chariot on the battlefield of Kurukshetra is immortalized. This moment, captured in the Bhagavad Gita, portrays Krishna’s celestial intervention and words of wisdom that transcend time. Hidden within the intricate designs is the number 18, a subtle nod to the 18 chapters of the epic and the 18 days of the great war, adding mystery and inviting deeper exploration.
To bring this magnificent epic to life on screen, we’ve employed a range of traditional techniques, including Pietra dura and bronze casting. We’ve also utilized exquisite materials such as mother of pearl, silver pyrite, gold gilding on rock crystal, and micro mosaics. This piece represents a true expression of artistry.
